Plymouth police are asking the public to help with information about a series of church robberies in the city during November.

Det. Sgt. Leo Mangus said Tuesday that six different churches have been broken into, and in some cases police suspect the same people are at work.

Trinity United Methodist Church on South Michigan Street and First Presbyterian Church on North Walnut Street reported burglaries on the same night last Wednesday.

And overnight Friday, First United Church of Christ on North Center Street and Bible Baptist Church on South Michigan Street made similar reports.

St. Thomas Episcopal Church on Center Street was broken into twice, on Nov. 8 and then again on Nov. 22.

And St. Michael Catholic Church on North Center Street reported a break-in Thursday morning.

"They were looking for money, from what we can gather," Mangus said.
Small amounts of cash have been stolen, but really nothing else, he said.
In all cases, windows were broken or forced open.
Anyone with information is asked to contact the Plymouth Police Department at 574-936-2126.
