Starke County officials arrested

Two Starke County public officials were arrested Thursday after a nine-month investigation by Indiana State Police and the Indiana State Board of Accounts, according to an Indiana State Police news release.

The news release said Starke County Highway Department Superintendent John Norris, 51, of Koontz Lake, has been charged with official misconduct and theft, and Starke County Commissioner Mark Milo, 54, of Knox City, with two counts each of official misconduct and conflict of interest. All are Class D felonies.

Both men were booked into Pulaski County Jail, with bond set at $5,000, the news release stated
