Sturgis police find meth lab fugitive

STURGIS — A Saturday morning tip led Sturgis police to a person wanted for maintaining a methamphetamine lab.

At 10:15 a.m. police were told a fugitive was at an address on Ellerman St. There they found a 31-year-old Sturgis resident who was wanted on two felony warrants for absconding on parole and maintaining a methamphetamine lab.

They also found meth lab components and a small amount of meth at the address.

A 20-year-old woman from Burr Oak was also arrested. Both were taken to the St. Joseph County Jail.
