PLYMOUTH — A Plymouth family was forced from home Tuesday after escaping an early-morning fire.

Marshall County authorities said the fire was reported about 4 a.m., sending the family outdoors as the temperature dipped into the low teens.

City 911 dispatch said everyone was able to get out of the house, located in the 100 block of Shalley Drive, off North Michigan Street.

The fire was reportedly in the attic of the home.

There was no immediate word on the cause of the blaze or the extent of the damages.
