HARRIS TOWNSHIP — Slick roads were to blame for accidents across the area Tuesday night, and contributed to the crash of one minivan into a creek.

It happened just after 6 p.m. on Bittersweet Road, south of Cleveland in Harris Township, where firefighters say the driver of the van lost control.

The van rolled at least once, then landed on its tires in about a foot and a half of frigid water.

Rescuers had to cut the driver out.

Four people were taken to the hospital, but their injuries appear to be non-life-threatening.
