SOUTH BEND — A man was taken to an area hospital Thursday morning after a two-vehicle collision at Indiana 933 and the entrance to the Indiana Toll Road.

Police said the crash occurred just after 8:30 a.m. when a woman rear-ended the man’s car, which was stopped at a red light in the northbound lanes of Indiana 933. The woman had just finished a 12-hour shift at Memorial Hospital and might have dozed off, police said.

The man, of Mishawaka, was treated for severe back pain; the woman, from South Bend, was not injured.
