Thieves’ choice Coke or Pepsi? Police say both

Pop vending machines are the latest target of some Elkhart County thieves, according to Elkhart County Sheriff Department reports.

  • A Coca-Cola vending machine was reported stolen from Bonneyville Mill County Park on County Road 131 in Bristol, sometime between 6 p.m. Dec. 13 and 7 a.m. Dec. 14. The theft was reported by Elkhart County Parks Department staff on Dec. 15.

  • Another Coca-Cola vending machine was reported stolen during the overnight hours between Dec. 13 and 14 from Eby’s Pines RV Park & Campground on State Road 120 in Bristol.

  • On Dec. 15, Elkhart County Highway Department staff reported to police a Pepsi vending machine was dumped on the side of County Road 1, south of County Road 26 in Elkhart. Goshen City Police verified the machine was stolen from Roxbury Park in Goshen.
