Winter continues to come roaring in like a lion into its second day with several advisories issued by the National Weather Service for Monday.

All of northern Indiana is under a winter weather advisory through 10 a.m. EST, the National Weather Service says. It says the area also is under a wind chill warning through 1 p.m. EST.

Berrien and Cass counties in Michigan are under a blizzard warning until 10 a.m. EST, the weather service said.

The weather service predicts a 30 percent chance of snow showers Monday by 1 p.m., with a high near 12. Wind chill values as low as minus 25 are forecast.

Monday night, a low near minus 2 is predicted.

Snowfall totals by late Monday will be in the 5- to 10-inch range for Michigan and 3 to 7 inches possible in LaPorte, St. Joseph and Elkhart counties in Indiana, WSBT meteorologists say. Areas to the south will see less than 2 inches.

The snow is likely to continue, with more chances for snow expected to move

in for the middle of the week as a potentially powerful storm moves our way.
