Falling ice injures driver

SOUTH BEND — Police say a driver on the St. Joseph Valley Parkway was injured when ice fell through his windshield.

The accident happened in the westbound lane near the Bremen Highway exit around 10:30 a.m. today. Police say the ice fell off the back of a semi.

The man received cuts, but police said his injuries are minor.
