Mishawaka house fire leaves damage, no injuries

MISHAWAKA — A small house fire in Mishawaka Saturday morning left moderate damage to a home on Dodge Street. No one was injured.

The Mishawaka Fire Department responded to 914 Dodge St. shortly after 9:30 a.m., where light smoke was seen coming from the house.

Fire department Lt. David Bennett said it took six crews about a half an hour to control the fire, which caused moderate interior damage to the stairway, four or five rooms, and smoke damage.

The cause of the fire hasn’t been determined.
