PLYMOUTH — The cause of a fire that destroyed a home on the city’s south side is still under investigation.

The two-story home at 901 S. Michigan St., which consists of upstairs and downstairs apartments, caught fire at 11:08 a.m. Friday. People were inside at the time the fire started, but no injuries were reported, firefighters said.

The Plymouth Fire Department, which was assisted by the Argos Fire Department, was finished putting out the blaze about 6 p.m.

The Indiana State Fire Marshal’s Office is assisting in the investigation to determine a cause.
