Few details were available early Tuesday, but authorities say a power outage hit the entire town of Middlebury overnight.

Emergency dispatchers for the Elkhart County Sheriff's Department said they received calls about the outage shortly after midnight.

There was no immediate word on power restoration, but callers to SBT24/7 News said the west side remained without power at 6 a.m., and the Sheriff's Department said some traffic signals were still out an hour earlier.

Middlebury Community Schools were on a two-hour delay because of the outage.
