CASS COUNTY — One man pleaded guilty on Monday to his part in the murder of a Michigan migrant worker.

Police found Miguel Calixto's body in a field in October. They believe Lazaro Perales shot him outside Berrybrook Farm in Cass County, and then dumped his body in Van Buren County.

Perales's brother, Sotero, pleaded guilty on Monday to being an accessory to the murder. He told police he saw his brother shoot Calixto several times, and then helped load the body into a vehicle.

Police extradited Sotero to Michigan after he was caught in Florida.

Lazaro Perales is still on the loose, but faces murder charges.
