Warsaw co-workers claim $200,000 Powerball prize

A group of 36 Symmetry Medical employees in Warsaw claimed their prize for matching five numbers in the Hoosier Lottery’s Powerball game.

The group matched five numbers, but not the Powerball number from the Jan. 21 drawing.

Still, the group will divide the $200,000 prize, proportionate to their $1, $2, $3 or $4 contribution for the ticket purchase.

Most of the 36 live in Kosciusko and Wabash counties.

While most of the employees have been playing Powerball — together &madsh; for more than two years, a couple employees were playing for their first or second time.

Jeff Foster of Wabash bought the winning ticket at Village Pantry, 204 Stitt St., in Wabash.

Foster’s co-workers say he was “a screaming wild man, running across the shop” when he check the number on his ticket, his co-workers stated in a press release.
