Elkhart County crews battle barn blaze

Firefighters were on the scene of a large barn fire near New Paris Sunday morning.

Elkhart County authorities said the fire was reported at 6:46 a.m. in the 22500 block of County Road 44.

There were no immediate reports of injuries, and no word on any animal victims.

In addition to New Paris firefighters, crews from Wakarusa and Nappanee were among those assisting.
