PORTAGE, Ind. (AP) — Three teenage boys accused of terrorizing others on a Portage school bus for nearly six months have been ordered held until hearings next month to determine whether they should be tried as adults.

A juvenile court magistrate ruled Wednesday that the two 17-year-olds and a 16-year-old should remain in detention because of the heinous nature of the charges.

The boys are accused of groping girls, threatening other riders and making blowtorches from aerosol cans. The were taken into custody Feb. 6 after police say one of them dropped his pants and another tried to shove a girl's face into the other boy's groin.

The boys were arrested on juvenile charges, including criminal recklessness and sexual battery.
