Scott Schuler, 21, of Warsaw, lost control of his vehicle on a curve in the area of 2712 West 250 South early Friday morning and collided with a tree. He was pronounced dead from internal injuries at the scene, according to a Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department news release.

A passenger, Nicholas Lee, also 21 of Warsaw, is listed in stable condition at Kosciusko Community Hospital.

From evidence at the scene, Schuler was driving southeast on 250 South when he lost control of the car at 2:45 a.m. The vehicle went off the north side of the road and struck a tree. The Kosciusko County Fatal Alcohol Crash Team investigated the accident, a standard procedure in serious and fatal accidents.
