KENTLAND, Ind. — A friend of a missing Wheatfield woman has been charged with her murder.

Newton County Sheriff Don Hartman says he expects 26-year-old Aaron Flynn of Sumava Resorts to appear in court in Kentland on Friday. Flynn is now being held in Jasper County Jail in Rensselaer on other charges related to the disappearance last week of 54-year-old Rosalba Silvana "Silvia" Ricchio.

Hartman says prosecutors filed the murder charge against Flynn late Tuesday.

Police said Flynn led them Sunday to a shallow grave on an abandoned farm in Newton County holding the remains of the woman who was reported missing March 11.

A news release said Flynn told police that he and another person had forcibly removed Ricchio from her northwest Indiana home March 10.

Two other men were being held in Newton County on charges of assisting a criminal.
