Police investigate overnight accident near Keeler

Police say two people were injured early Sunday after a single-vehicle crash in Keeler.

The Van Buren County Sheriff’s Department received a 1:30 a.m. call after the crash was reported south of the 78900 block of 60th Road.

One person was taken to Watervliet Hospital, while another was taken to an unknown destination hospital. The Sheriff’s Department said the injuries are not expected to be life-threatening.

Police investigated the crash for at least three hours and continued to search for one person who fled the scene, Van Buren officials said.

There was no immediate word on any arrests in the case.
