STEVENSVILLE — A 37-year-old Stevensville area man is in the Berrien County Jail on second-offense drug charges after a raid at his home Tuesday.

Narcotics officers with the Berrien County Sheriff’s Department said a third charge of possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony was added after they discovered a 9 millimeter handgun at the residence.

Police said search warrants were executed about 8:20 a.m. following a month-long investigation. Inside, officers located the 37-year-old, another adult and a 16-year-old juvenile.

A search turned up about $200 worth of marijuana and other evidence of illegal drug trafficking, police said. Also seized was $360 in cash.

The second adult and 16-year-old were released and will not be charged.
