The homeowner and suspect from an April 2 Osceola meth lab bust has been arrested, according to Sgt. William Redman, of the St. Joseph County Police Department.

Michelle Johnson, 39, was arrested Monday after the county’s Warrant/Fugitive Task Force learned she was at a house in Granger. Wednesday, Johnson posted bond and was released. A court hearing is set for May 12.

Johnson’s charged with possession of methamphetamine, dealing methamphetamine, and maintaining a common nuisance.

Acting on a Crime Stoppers tip reporting that methamphetamines were being made and sold at a house in the 300 block of East Louis Street in Osceola, St. Joseph County Police Detective Eric Kaser arrived there on April 2 to find four adults and a 4-year-old child inside, police said.

Johnson was not at her house at the time and police contacted her via cell phone. She agreed to return to her house, but she did not. Police obtained a search warrant and collected evidence.
