SOUTH BEND — A former Penn High School coach pleaded guilty Wednesday to a charge of sexual misconduct with a minor for having improper contact with a student.

Brooke M. Biggs, 27, admitted to having sexual contact with a female Penn student last year.

Biggs will be sentenced June 3.

In exchange, prosecutors dismissed two felony charges of child seduction, and withdrew a petition to revoke Biggs’s jail bond after she allegedly met with the 16-year-old girl in late March, violating a protective order.

Biggs, also a former physical education teacher at Grissom Middle School, was first charged in the case in October.
