The Marshall County Sheriff’s Department is reporting one person has been airlifted via Medflight from a single-vehicle accident scene near Bourbon.

Police were called at 4:39 a.m. Saturday on a report of a truck hitting a pole on Fir Road, south of East 7th Road.

As of 6 a.m., police and firefighters are still at the accident scene. A lengthy extrication freed the person from the truck. The person was taken to Memorial Hospital of South Bend.

No immediate information is available on the person’s condition.
