Rochester man dies from U.S. 31 motorcycle crash injuries

By SBT 24/7 News

A Rochester, Ind., man has died following a May 5 motorcycle accident on U.S. 31 in Fulton County.

Indiana State Police say Brian Rouch, 47, was not wearing a helmet as he headed northbound on a 2007 Harley Davidson. That’s when a southbound 2008 Lexus driven by Julie Anderson, 50, also of Rochester, turned into Rouch’s path.

Rouch was ejected from the motorcycle when he hit the passenger side of the Lexus, investigators said.

He was flown to Memorial Hospital in South Bend with severe head and internal injuries, and died there Friday, according to obituary information in the South Bend Tribune.

Rouch leaves behind two daughters, Layne and Abigail, and his parents, Leroy and Jean Rouch, all of Rochester.

A son, Brandon, lives in Las Vegas, Nev.

Services are set for 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Good Family Funeral Home. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday and one hour before the services.

No information on any charges has been released and ISP at the Peru District post continue their investigation.
