Samuel Tokar, 21, of Bristol, was injured Sunday night after losing control of his motorcycle on County Road 14, west of County Road 23 in Elkhart County.

Tokar was driving west on County Road 14 at 7:35 p.m. when he failed to negotiate a sharp turn. His motorcycle went off the east side of the road. Police said he lost consciousness after the accident.

Tokar was taken to Goshen General Hospital, but no information was immediately available on his condition, according to a nursing supervisor there.

The Elkhart County Sheriff’s Department reported Tokar was cited for speed, as a witness told police he was driving at a high rate of speed just before losing control of the cycle.
