Woman dragged, run over on Scott Street

SOUTH BEND — A 23-year-old South Bend woman reportedly was run over Monday after an argument over money, police said.

The incident occurred about 9 p.m. in the 1900 block of South Scott Street.

According to police, the woman was trying to collect $80 from a man in a maroon Chevrolet when the man began to drive off.

The woman reportedly held onto the man’s vehicle and was dragged down the street and then run over.

She was treated for back and leg pain at a local hospital.
