UPDATE: Pair attempt to rob South Bend taxi office

SOUTH BEND — Police said two men armed with guns attempted to rob a taxi cab dispatch office Saturday night.

The men entered the offices of Express Cab, in the 1900 block of South Michigan Street, about 10:30 and demanded cash. The men forced one of the office’s employees to lie on the ground as the men made their demands.

Police say the armed men ran out of the office empty handed, however, after they were unable to gain access to a locked back room.
