NEW CARLISLE — A 27-year-old Berwyn, Ill., man was arrested late Sunday after he exposed himself to several campers, police said.

The incident occurred about 10:42 p.m. at Mini Mountain Campground, 32351 Indiana 2.

Several witnesses reportedly told St. Joseph County police the man was running around and exposing himself to female campers, and even touched one of the women.

The suspect, found near the bath house, reportedly denied the allegations. He said he had only been yelling to a female friend inside the women’s restroom.

While questioning the man, police reportedly noticed his shorts were unzipped and that he smelled of alcohol.

He was arrested on suspicion of public intoxication, with additional charges pending, police said.
