A laid-off Elkhart mother of three won $50,000 in the Lucky 5 drawing held May 31. Tricia Rich claimed her price at Hoosier Lottery Headquarters in Indianapolis Tuesday afternoon.

"I'm going to pay off my house!" Rich said, according to a Hoosier Lottery press release. "I've been making payments for 14 years and I've been trying to pay it off early but I got laid off."

Rich worked making RV shower doors until she was laid off about a year ago.

"This is amazing, just amazing!" she said.

Rich bought her quick pick Lucky 5 ticket at the Speedway at 1901 Cassopolis Road in Elkhart.
