Woman, baby ejected from buggy

A horse-drawn buggy traveling west on County Road 38 east of County Road 33 near Millersburg left the road, rolling on its side Tuesday afternoon.

Jolene Miller, 22, of Millersburg, the driver of the buggy, sustained a laceration to the forehead when she was ejected from the buggy and hit a utility pole.

An 11-month-old infant, Evan Miller, also was riding in the buggy and was ejected from his car seat. He was not injured.

According to Elkhart County police, the horse was spooked by another vehicle.
