SOUTH BEND — A 31-year-old man was found guilty Friday of murder and conspiracy to commit murder in the death of 16-year-old Ja-Vonda Tharbs.

Jason Reeves was one of five people accused in the April 2006 killing of the teen.

It took a jury just over three hours to return guilty verdicts on both charges.

Emotions ran high for both families during the proceedings, and some had a lot to say about the case when it was all over.
