No injuries were reported as crews battled an overnight house fire in South Bend.

The fire was reported in the 1700 block of South Scott Street at 2:55 a.m. Sunday, according to city 911 dispatch.

Fire and smoke were pouring from the front bedroom windows of the house when firefighters arrived.

A South Bend Fire Department report indicated the fire started in the bedroom of the vacant house, causing approximately $10,000 in damage.

The cause of the fire is under investigation, authorities said.
