SOUTH BEND — A teenager accused of shooting another teen to death was arraigned Wednesday.

Rashad Taylor, 17, appeared in court via live feed from the St. Joseph County Jail. Taylor has been charged with one count of murder in the death of 16-year-old Eddie Ward Jr.

Taylor’s next court hearing will be at 8 a.m. Wednesday June 17.

Ward was killed early Sunday near a Phillips 66 gas station after a disagreement with the defendant, according to police.
