SOUTH BEND — The Stancati twins will each serve prison time for their roles in a meth-making operation discovered in November.

Maria Stancati, 36, was sentenced Tuesday to 32 years in prison, with 20 years to be executed.

Her twin sister, Michelle Stancati, was sentenced to 40 years in prison, with 20 years suspended and 20 years executed.

The Stancati sisters were both emotional during the hearing. Both addressed the judge with personal statements to family members and the community apologizing for their actions.
