UPDATE: Woman seriously injured in Edwardsburg motorcycle crash

Hospital staff say a woman remained in serious condition Monday morning following a weekend motorcycle accident in Cass County.

The crash happened at 12:48 a.m. Sunday at the intersection of Michigan 62 and Davis Lake Street, according to county 911 dispatch.

That's northeast of Edwardsburg, where emergency crews from Indiana were called to assist EMS and firefighters, and tend to the injured.

A man and the woman, traveling on the motorcycle, collided with a sport utility vehicle, dispatch said.

The two were taken to Memorial Hospital in South Bend. The man is in fair condition, hospital staff tells SBT24/7 News.

Neither of the victims’ names or other information have been released to the public.

There was no immediate word on injuries to anyone in the SUV.

Cass County officials have not yet released the details of their investigation and further information is expected.
