SOUTH BEND — Two South Bend residents have been charged in the shooting death of 33-year-old Courtney Rowell of South Bend, and police are asking for the public’s help in locating one of the individuals.

According to a news release issued Monday, the St. Joseph County prosecutor’s office on Thursday charged both Tevin Reaves, 16, and Henry Bonds, 29, with murder, conspiracy to commit murder, felony murder and two counts of attempted robbery.

Rowell was shot several times May 20 outside his apartment in the 1000 block of Lincoln Way West in South Bend, according to police.

Bonds is currently in federal custody on a related matter, the release states, but Reaves remains at large and is considered to be armed and dangerous.

Anyone with information as to Reaves’ whereabouts is asked to call the county’s Metro Homicide Unit at (574) 235-5009 or CrimeStoppers at (574) 288-STOP.
