Kosciusko County man arrested for domestic battery

AKRON — A Kosciusko County man was arrested Monday night after allegedly choking his wife during an argument.

Police were called to the 12000 block of S. 890 W. in Akron at 8:53 p.m. for reports of a domestic fight.

At the scene a woman told police an argument with her husband turned physical, and he choked and strangled her as she tried to get away.

Officers found and arrested her husband, 34-year-old Gary Gene Gagnon Jr., on preliminary charges of felony strangulation and domestic battery.

His bond has been set at $2,000.
