MILFORD — A Warsaw man was arrested Thursday morning after police say he stole a utility vehicle from the Milford Street Department parking lot.

Police received a 911 call of a possible golf cart that had rolled over near the intersection of County Road 100 East and County Road 1250 North, just east of Milford. When an officer arrived he discovered it was actually an Arctic Cat, or two-seated utility vehicle, and the driver had left the scene.

Police learned the utility vehicle belonged to a Milford town employee and was stolen from the parking lot of the Milford Street Department.

Officers from the Milford Police Department, the Syracuse Police Department, the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department and the Indiana State Police as well as Indiana Conservation officers searched the area for the suspect.

Members of the Milford Fire Department found 23-year-old Richard Vesley Wilson near County Road 175 East and Beer Road.

He was arrested on preliminary charges of felony theft and taken to the Kosciusko County Jail. His bond was set at $2,000.
