Two taken to Memorial after crash near Taco Bell

One person was found in the street and another was reportedly unconscious in a vehicle following an early-morning accident in South Bend Sunday.

Few details were available about the crash, which happened near the Taco Bell at Lincoln Way West and Bendix Drive on the city’s far west side.

City 911 dispatch said two people were taken to Memorial Hospital after the 1:23 a.m. crash.

No information was available on their conditions.

Authorities did not release details about the cause of the crash and continued their investigation.
