ELKHART — A 16-year-old wanted in connection with the shooting death of a South Bend resident was arrested in Elkhart early Sunday morning.

Tevin Reaves and his brother, 29-year-old Henry Bonds, both of South Bend, are accused of killing 33-year-old Courtney Rowell of South Bend.

Rowell was shot several times May 20 outside his apartment in the 1000 block of Lincoln Way West, according to police.

Investigators learned Reaves fled the area shortly after the murder, but had returned to the Elkhart area within the past couple weeks. He was arrested Sunday at approximately 1 a.m.

Reaves is being held without bond in the St. Joseph County Jail and will be arraigned June 30.

Bonds was arraigned in court June 24 and remains in the St. Joseph County Jail awaiting trial.

The investigation is ongoing and anyone with information is asked to call Investigator James Taylor of Metro Homicide at (574) 235-5009, the South Bend Police Department at (574) 235-9361 or Crime Stoppers at (574) 288-STOP.
