Marshall County firefighters battle barn fire

Marshall County authorities say no one was injured when a barn caught fire early Tuesday.

The fire was reported on Linden Road, south of the intersection with 18B Road, according to 911 dispatch.

Passers-by called authorities after seeing the barn engulfed in flames.

Arriving crews said the barn contained hay and some type of truck.

The fire did not spread to a nearby house, and its residents evacuated the home safely and were not injured.

Firefighters from Culver and Rochester assisted Argos with the fire, dispatch said.
