SOUTH BEND — There is a big mess to clean up on South Bend's northwest side.

Police say at least 30 cars were tagged overnight in the 1800 blocks of North Brookfield and O’Brien streets.

They say the vandals spray painted wavy lines or loops on the cars with gold or red spray paint. The cars were parked on the street in front of residences.

Police and homeowners are still assessing the damage, and are looking for any information to indicate who is responsible.

Anyone with information is asked to call the South Bend Police Department at (574) 235-9201 or Crime Stoppers at (574) 288-STOP.
