Man hit with tire iron in Mishawaka alley

MISHAWAKA — A 39-year-old man was treated at a local hospital and a 47-year-old man arrested after the two got into a fight in an alley Tuesday night.

Police said both men said they had been drinking together before they began to fight in the alley behind West 7th Street about 11:10 p.m. Tuesday.

The victim told police the other man punched him and hit him with a tire iron.

The 47-year-old was arrested on suspicion of aggravated assault.
