South Bend couple: Relative stole television

SOUTH BEND — A couple told police their nephew and another man grabbed the television they were watching and ran from their apartment at Courtyard Apartments.

Police said the couple told them they were watching television in their 25th Street apartment about 7:20 p.m. Wednesday when their nephew and another man knocked on the door and asked to use the bathroom.

Police said as the two visitors left, the stranger grabbed the man in a choke hold and the nephew grabbed the couple’s television.

The two visitors then ran from the building.
