SOUTH BEND — A former Conn-Selmer employee accused of selling stolen instruments along with a friend has been sentenced for his part in the theft operation.

Ross G. Yoder was sentenced this week to an 18-month suspended sentence and given one year of probation.

Yoder was one of three indicted by a grand jury last year for his involvement in an eBay-related scam. Yoder pleaded guilty to receiving stolen property, a Class D felony, shortly before his scheduled trial.

Susan Hancock, St. Joseph County Community Corrections director, was acquitted in the case, while her husband, Michael Hancock, was found guilty.

Hancock is to be sentenced July 22.
