Multiple people sent to hospital after violent incidents in South Bend

Two calls South Bend police received soon after midnight into Sunday morning were in the same neighborhood, dispatch confirms. Three people were taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries in those two incidents.

A call that a female was shot in the 100 block of East Milton Street came over at 12:36 a.m. She was taken to a hospital. Two other people were taken to the hospital after police responded to a call of shots fired in the 600 block of Pennsylvania Avenue about the same time. Dispatch said the two streets are in the same neighborhood. Police say one of the victims is a 6-year-old boy, and that the conditions of all three victims is stable.

In another call, in the 700 block of North Diamond, a victim, who was stabbed, was taken to a hospital with a non-life threatening injury. The call came in at 12:47 a.m.

No other information was available from dispatch on these calls by Sunday afternoon.
