Four boaters were arrested Saturday after two alcohol-related incidents — one involving a crash — in Van Buren County.

  • A 22-year-old Paw Paw man was arrested at 6:30 p.m., suspected of operating a boat while intoxicated on Eagle Lake in Paw Paw Township. Two others on the boat were also arrested for alcohol consumption.

  • A 27-year-old Chicago man was arrested at 8:30 p.m. after the Kawasaki Jet Ski he was operating crashed into a boat driven by a 50-year-old Decatur man. The Chicago man was arrested for operating a boat while intoxicated.

That incident happened on Keeler Lake in Keeler Township, according to a Van Buren County Sheriff's Department report.

Both arrest cases have been given to the Van Buren County Prosecutor's Office.
