Man robs bank on Elkhart’s east side

ELKHART — A robbery of the Credit Union Center on the city’s east side was reported to police just after 10 a.m. Tuesday.

According to a police report, a man entered the bank at 3702 E. Mishawaka Road and gave a note to a teller and indicated that he had a weapon under his shirt.

He left with an undisclosed amount of money, police said. No arrests have been made.

The suspect is described as a black male in his 20s, 5-feet-6-inches to 6-feet tall, 150 pounds, wearing a bright orange shirt and a black do-rag.
