Residents’ complaints about suspected drug activity lead the Berrien County Sheriff Department’s Narcotics Unit to get a search warrant for an apartment in the 700 block of East Napier Avenue in Benton Harbor.

What police found, along with drugs, cash and the suspect, Rolland Jenkins, were two young children. Jenkins, 30, was arrested Wednesday morning on several charges, including a second offense of maintaining a drug house.

The children, ages 11 and 22 months, were placed in the care of a family member, police said.
