Daniels expected at Dometic plant in Elkhart

Indiana Gov. Mitch Daniels will be in Elkhart Tuesday as he joins Mayor Dick Moore for an economic development announcement.

The two will be at the Dometic Corp. in the 2300 block of Industrial Parkway, according to a press release from Daniels staff.

Dometic plans an expansion, including a relocation of one plant from Sweden to Elkhart.

The move may create as many as 240 jobs.

Elkhart officials approved a tax abatement for Dometic during business conducted Monday night.
